As the unfortunate result of the rapidly spreading COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic within our country, including throughout the State of Illinois---Governor J.B. Pritzker has extended the Stay-At-Home Order through May 31, 2020.

Out of an abundance of caution and in response to the very legitimate health-related concerns of UPTV employees, producers, submitters, users, guests, Commission members, and other constituents (some of whom fall squarely within the “high risk” category of susceptibility), UPTV will be closed to in-person public access services effective today, Monday, March 16, 2020; and continuing at least through and including Sunday, May 31, 2020. During that time UPTV’s entire facility will be closed to the public and no in-person transactions will be conducted. Updated information as to the re-opening of our facility will become available as circumstances permit and the time draws near.

All scheduled public access program recordings are being postponed. City of Urbana administration and UPTV management will monitor ongoing developments and will issue updated information regarding the resumption of operations and access by the public when we know more.  If you currently submit your videos to us online, we will continue to do our best to get them on UPTV.
